We’ve all heard about the Beatitude in church, right? But hearing about them and actually taking the time to learn about them and what they really mean are two entirely different mindsets.
I’ve created several Beatitudes printables to help you truly meditate on these verses and what they truly mean for us today. Use them during your regular Bible study time or just meditate on them when you have a few moments of downtime.

What Are the Beatitudes
The Beatitudes are 8 blessings that Jesus proclaims in the Sermon on the Mount (found in Matthew 5:3-12) and again in the Gospel of Luke (6:20-23).
The Beatitudes are meant to teach us that we are blessed, even during the storms of life.
We tend to see blessings in the way of physical or tangible things that we have here on earth. But our true blessings come in the form of the eternity that we will all enjoy long after we’ve left our earthly forms.
What Are the 8 Beatitudes in Order?
The individual elements of the Beatitudes – in order of mention – are:
- Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:3)
- Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. (Matthew 5:4)
- Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:5)
- Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. (Matthew 5:6)
- Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. (Matthew 5:7)
- Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. (Matthew 5:8)
- Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. (Matthew 5:9)
- Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:10)
