The Pumpkin Prayer is a short prayer that kids can say while they are carving a pumpkin. Each line of the prayer correlates the different steps of actually carving the pumpkin with how each step relates to how Jesus fills us with His light.

Dear God, Open my mind so I can learn about You; Take away all my sins and forgive me for the wrong things I do. Open my eyes so Your love I will see; I’m sorry for turning up my nose to all You have given me. Open my ears so Your word I will hear; Open my mouth to tell others You are near. Let your light shine in me so others can see. Amen!
